Sketching on Location Video

Hello! My name is Ron Velasco and I am an EMMY Award winning Character Designer and Visual Development Artist in the animation industry.

I have worked on shows like Monsters At Work, Kung Fu Panda Dragon Knight, Planes 2, Dora and Friends, DC Superhero Girls, and been around studios like Disney TV, Dreamworks, Nickelodeon, Disneytoons, and Warner Brothers.

Teaching is one of my passions, as I find it rewarding to pay back to the community and pass around what I learned from years in the industry. Throughout the past few years, I've been teaching gesture drawing, character design, and figure drawing at the Art Center College of Design, The Animation Guild, Gnomon, LAAFA, Society of Illustrators of LA, and now ONLINE!
